Marie Fredriksson and Mikael Bolyos were married in Östra Ljungby kyrka on May 21, 1994, in the presence of only 40 invited guests. Marie and Mikael decided to have a small wedding, which meant that they wanted only very close relatives to attend.

Not even Marie´s musical partner Per Gessle and his wife, Asa, were invited. The reason for this is that Marie and Mikael wanted to have a family celebration and boundaries had to be made somewhere.
